MathCompass has no user accounts. We don't know who you are, and the numbers you type into our calculators are not stored on our servers. The only thing we ever store is your email address, and only if you sign up for our list in the footer. Like most websites, we use analytics and advertising services that set cookies — details below.

All calculator math runs in your browser. When you run a calculation, the inputs and results are sent to our server briefly to generate the plain-English summary shown with your result, then discarded. They are not stored, logged to a database, or associated with your identity.

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which calculators people use and how they find us. GA4 sets cookies and collects usage data such as pages visited, approximate location (city level), device type, and how you arrived at the site. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

We display ads to keep MathCompass free. Our advertising partners (including Google) use cookies to serve ads, which may be personalized based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can manage personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings and learn more at How Google uses data. Visitors in the EEA, UK, and certain US states will see a consent banner and can decline non-essential cookies.

If you sign up for our email list in the footer, we store your email address and the signup date — nothing else — in our own infrastructure (Cloudflare KV). We haven't sent any emails yet; when we do, it will be occasional notes about new calculators, every message will include an unsubscribe link, and we will never sell or share the list. To be removed before then, email us at the address below and we'll delete it.

Some pages include affiliate links, always placed after your result and always disclosed next to the link. If you apply through one, we may earn a fee at no cost to you. This never affects calculator results.

Depending on where you live (GDPR, CCPA, and similar laws), you may have rights to access, delete, or restrict processing of personal data. Since we don't maintain accounts or store your inputs, most requests apply to our analytics and ad partners — the links above let you exercise those controls directly. For anything else, contact us.
